Online Voting Insights & Resources

For many Australian unions, voting is no longer just a matter of printing ballot papers and waiting for envelopes to come back. Members may be spread across different workplaces, cities and states. Some work shifts, some work remotely, and some may rarely visit a union office. Digital voting can make it easier for eligible members […]

Choosing an online voting provider is not simply a technology decision. It is a governance decision. When an organisation runs an AGM, board election, committee vote, member ballot or workplace agreement vote, the outcome needs to be trusted by everyone involved — candidates, voters, administrators and regulators. Meeting Voting Software: Choosing the Right Solution for AGMs, EGMs and Committee Meetings Running a meeting is one thing. Running a meeting where important decisions have to be voted on, recorded and relied upon later is another. For an AGM, EGM or committee meeting, the voting process needs to do more than simply collect a […]

A committee member asks for a vote. Someone checks the constitution. Another person refers to the legislation. Then someone asks whether the chair has a casting vote. It happens regularly. The difficulty is that there is no single set of constitutional voting requirements that applies to every Australian organisation. A company, incorporated association, registered charity, […]

For many associations, unions, not-for-profits, companies, and member-based organisations, this includes systems that handle: Member databases Shareholder information Election results Proxy appointments Confidential ballots Governance records The question boards are now asking is simple: How do we know […]

Voting used to mean paper forms, ballot boxes, envelopes and someone spending hours counting the results. That process still has its place. But for organisations with members, shareholders, employees or voters spread across different locations, a digital ballot system can make the process considerably easier to manage. A digital ballot system allows eligible voters to […]
